Corporate Social Responsibility

Social responsibility is key to Centra’s corporate culture. Centra’s employee-driven charitable donation program provides much needed funding to a variety of local charities. Each year Centra makes a conscious effort to support local charities and organizations that are most important to Centra employees and their families.

Over the years Centra has donated to over forty different charities, all must be nominated by Centra employees in order to be eligible to receive funding. In 2008, Centra donated over $70,000 to organizations and causes such as Big Brother & Sisters, Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer Society, Child Find of BC, Salvation Army, Union Gospel Mission, local food banks, support groups and hospitals serving communities where Centra operates.
